About the Vessel

JDS6000 is a multipurpose DP3 vessel for pipelaying (J-lay and S-lay) and heavy lift applications, useful for offshore projects such as decommissioning and wind farms. The JDS6000 is equipped with a fully rotating heavy-lift crane with a lifting capacity of 5,200 tonnes.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform electrical works in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
• Perform electrical or electronic wiring connections for equipment, circuit breakers, transformers, cabinets, and other electrical apparatus, ensuring the works follow project drawings.
• Verify that equipment and materials are in good and safe operating condition, reporting any anomalies to the Foreman.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure system compatibility and safety.
• Ensure coordination with adjacent works to minimize coactivities and eliminate unsafe conditions.
• Follow permit-to-work statements.
• Ensure housekeeping of the work location.
• Properly maintain electrical systems, switchboards, related equipment, SCR control system, EO system, and all electrical instrumentation, including high/low voltage and DC systems, especially for onshore fleet activities as directed by Maintenance Electrical Section Lead or Workshop Foreman.
